Jazz Bridge, Philadelphia’s award-winning nonprofit devoted to helping musicians in crisis, will have a joyous celebration of jazz that will directly benefit the essential work that Jazz Bridge has been doing for many years: assisting our area's jazz and blues musicians and vocalists in need and in times of crisis.
This important event will be held on Sunday, June 3rd in the top floor ballroom and terrace of the Philadelphia Independence Seaport Museum, 211 S. Columbus Boulevard—from 1:00 to 5:00pm, and will feature world class jazz from the Duane Eubanks Quartet, a gourmet buffet courtesy of 12th Street Caterers, a four-hour open bar, breathtaking views of the Delaware River and the city waterfront, and special guest honorees: Honorary Chairman of the event is Mayor Michael Nutter and the Honorary Musician Advocate of the event is singer Michelle Lordi, who Jazz Bridge helped when her home burned down. Jazz Bridge will be giving its 2018 Jazz Ambassador Award" to E.C. Bradley, owner of the Candlelight Lounge in Trenton, NJ and its 2018 Making A Difference Award" to Mark Christman, founder and director of Ars Nova Workshop. These people have helped shape and define what is one of the most vital jazz communities in the nation, and have assisted Jazz Bridge in realizing its mission.
