Denise Montana is a vibrant, spirited performer, whose singing and acting have earned her worldwide recognition. A stylist who traces her roots from jazz to blues, rock to pop, to the great American standards, Montana has carved out a creative niche in Philadelphia and beyond. Early in her career, she was featured with her famous father, bandleader Vince Montana, and hit it big right away with a Christmas single written by him that went double platinum. Her other hit #1 DJ on Atlantic Records sold a million copies and Montana was touring widely after that performing in Las Vegas and at the Copacabana in New York. Since Montana turned her sights to jazz, she has worked every venue and festival in the area and recorded two CDs as a leader – Just Think of It and In My Life. Not bad for someone who started out her career playing Dorothy in Wizard of Oz on Gene London’s WCAU-TV show!
