A collection of recent works by artist Riki R. Nelson
This exhibit features unique, never before shown, Modern Realist oil paintings celebrating the vibrant modern jazz scene and jazz culture of the San Francisco Bay Area. The collection features unique portraits of nationally known jazz singers and jazz musicians inspired by their Bay Area appearances. Portraits of jazz singers, jazz musicians, and candid paintings of local jazzbarccenes and jazz culture will be featured.

R.R. Nelson paints highly detailed scenes and portraits in oil of the best of what the Bay Area has to offer. Jazz is a favored subject, and is the key subject in this exhibit. This artist uses her own personal experiences, sketches, and photos of her chosen subjects to create truly unique works of contemporary art.
