Drawing on extensive training in both classical music and jazz, including a tenure studying under Toots Thielemans, Enrico Granafei brings a truly remarkable innovation to jazz performance. Performing singing melodic lines on the harmonica while accompanying himself with ornate harmonic and rhythmic underpinnings on the guitar, Mr. Granafei has perfected a seemingly effortless synergy of the two instruments that has delighted audiences in jazz clubs throughout the world. An in-demand collaborator, Enrico Granafei has recorded with such luminaries as Eddie Gomez, Eliot Zigmund, Marc Johnson, Adam Nussbaum, Ted Curson, and Nnena Freelon.
Marco di Gennaro, Italian pianist and composer Marco di Gennaro began his career both as a bandleaderpresenting his ensembles at major festivals throughout Europeand as a composer for the theater, where he has collaborated with esteemed actors and directors. Relocating in 2006 to New York, Mr. di Gennaro has since established his credentials as an exciting leader and sensitive collaborator. Mr. di Gennaro has performed with such artists as Lee Konitz, Peter Bernstein, Steve Turre, Bill Saxton, Enrico Rava, and Joe Farnsworth.
