The nights are getting warmer this week with Berroa's unforgettable Jazz & Afro-Cuban music!

LOS ANGELES, CA (March 27, 2008) -- International drummer and composer Ignacio Berroa is making a roundabout with his quartet this week at various cities throughout California. Ignacio Berroa will be at Kuumbwa Jazz Center in Santa Cruz, CA on March 27th, Rosalie & Alva Performance Gallery in San Pedro, CA on March 29th, and at Anthology in San Diego, CA on March 30th. The venues are just the perfect size for an intimate night with one of the greatest drummers of our time! This week Ignacio Berroa's listeners get the opportunity to experience unforgettable music as he once again takes over the spring nights in California.

“I love to perform in an intimate setting where we can be closer to the audience and be able to interact with them," Ignacio Berroa says. Ignacio Berroa's offerings are expressive and up-tempo cadences that take you to the ambience of contemporary jazz culture, but also offer the influences of Jazz Legend Dizzy Gillespie. He adds, “Festivals are always fun, but it takes away from having that personal experience with the audience." Ignacio Berroa is more than an entertainer; he is a master of the rhythms that have been recognized internationally and reached millions worldwide.

While Ignacio Berroa comes closer to his listeners this month, his mission remains the same. “I love reaching audiences to a new level of enjoyment-that's what music is about," says Ignacio Berroa. Ignacio Berroa has an extensive schedule, but when he is not performing or on tour he enjoys staying connected with his listeners on myspace.com--he enjoys hearing from his fans and what is happening with music. The success of Codes (Blue Note Records) continues to be viewed as a reflection of what Ignacio Berroa's music is about: passion, intelligence, and excitement interlaced in each vibrant melody. The unique experiences and passages of Codes can definitely be found on the menu this week at Kuumbwa Jazz Center, Rosalie & Alva Performance Gallery, and Anthology.

Get into the groove and do not miss how this recognized Grammy nominated artist changes the evening's rhythms with the finest aspects of jazz throughout 2008. Whether you enjoy Ignacio Berroa quartet at a festival, or at a smaller more intimate venue, you are guaranteed to be delighted by the best eclectic mix of a true master of drums. Summer performances for Berroa are being planned through Europe and the east coast. Next month, look out for Berroa when he hits the east coast on April 4-5 at the Shanghai Jazz Restaurant in Madison, NJ!
