Have you met Oscar Hamilton? He has a foul attitude, is always dressed for formal occasions, and is amassing an army of followers from the animal kingdom. “Animal kingdom," you ask? Yes. Though Oscar Hamilton sounds like a name that belongs to a movie star, social elite, or a dignified statesman, quite the opposite is true. Oscar is a penguin... an ANGRY penguin. Sick of being fed rotten fish and put on public display for the amusement of humans, he has busted out of the aquarium and is hell bent on taking over the world. One by one, he's rounded up the other animals and together they've launched THE PENGUIN REVOLUTION.

This is the story as narrated by Long Island based band THE PENGUIN REVOLUTION. When band leader Kevin McIntyre saw an angry penguin in the aquarium when he was 16 years old, his imagination went wild and developed a story of an angry penguin plotting to take over the world and enslave the humans. In 2005, THE PENGUIN REVOLUTION officially formed and has been gaining a steady following as they release EPs and perform throughout the Northeast.

Drawing their musical inspiration artists like Tenacious D, Beastie Boys, George Clinton, and Faith No More, THE PENGUIN REVOLUTION creates a very original sound. In addition to guitar, bass, and drums, the ensemble includes trumpet, alto sax, trombone, and didgeridoo! One of the hallmarks of their live performances is the “real life" Oscar Hamilton always joins them on stage to dance and mingle with the audience members.

THE PENGUIN REVOLUTION has just released their first full length album titled “Reign of the Peng" which is now available on Itunes and Amazon.com.

Would you like to meet Oscar Hamilton and THE PENGUIN REVOLUTION in person? To arrange an interview or request a CD for review, please contact Ida S. Langsam ([email protected]) or Stephen M. Thornton ([email protected]) at ISL Public Relations, or call 917-338-6199.
