GIOVANNI HIDALGO CELEBRATES LATIN GRAMMY NOMINATION AND COMMENTS ABOUT HIS WORK WITH FELLOW MUSICIANS ANDY GONZALEZ,BOB MINTZER, DAVID CHESKY AND RANDY BRECKER

“The Body Acoustic" a new instrumental ensemble, featuring Giovanni Hidalgo on congas, Andy Gonzalez on bass and Randy Brecker on trumpet recently received a Latin Grammy nomination on the Jazz category.

“The Body Acoustic" is a collection of eight original compositions based on Latin, Jazz and Classical fusion, combined with a unique organic polyrhythmic entity. This recording is a testament of how Latin music has exceeded boundaries.

Celebrated virtuoso Giovanni Hidalgo comments on his latest achievement:

“I am really pleased with this new nomination and I hope we can count on your support. We treated this project with a lot of intimacy and it was a very esoteric process. We were given an idea, and I think we achieved what we were looking for. We all have to contribute with our unique styles, without losing the intimacy and acoustic feel and the end result is a very organic and intimate recording".
