Feinstein's presents multi-award winning singer and the 1st Recipient of the Julie Wilson Award, SUE MATSUKI, in her highly acclaimed tribute show to the First Lady of Song herself...Ella Fitzgerald!

This show celebrates Ella's Verve and Capital Record Series when Ella was asked to sing all the great contemporary tunes of the day composed by the likes of: Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Sammy Cahn, James (Jimmy) Van Heusen, Dizzy Gillespie, Johnny Mercer, Harold Arlen, Johnny Burke and more. Ira Gershwin once said, “I never knew how good our songs were until I heard Ella Fitzgerald sing them!"

Joined by her band: Gregory Toroian (piano); Steve Millhouse (bass) and Ron Tierno (percussion) and directed by Eric Michael Gillett, Sue will celebrate this great lady not by imitation (who could?) but by bringing her own interpretation to these classic tunes made famous by Ella.

It's an “all hits" evening! The show takes place January 31 at 8:30PM at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st street).
