Entertainment for the Unveiling of Sydneys' Welcome Wall

Entertainment at unveiling ceremony for Sydney's Welcome Wall A Welcome Wall 100 metres long has been established next to the Australian National Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour.

The wall was created to honor more than six million people that have crossed the world to settle in Australia.

Between 10.30am and 12.30pm on 18th May 2008 there will be an unveiling ceremony held at the Welcome Wall and entertainment will be provided by Viva the band.

In keeping with the multicultural aspect of the immigrants that arrived and settled in Australia, Viva the band will be performing a diverse repertoire of International music.

Viva the band utilize a repertoire of : French, Spanish, Gypsy, Russian, Hungarian, Danish, Argentine, Cuban , Brazilian music along with the usual fare of Jazz and Latin Music.

The line up of the band includes: Marie Rappolt (accordion and midi bass) Peter Rappolt (guitar and flute) Gerri Santos (vocals and percussion) Jose Santos (vocals, congas, guitar and percussion)
