Jazz Bridge Third Thursday Concert Series in Willingboro, NJ presents Latin percussion master Edgardo A. Cintron at the Willingboro Library, 220 Willingboro Way in Willingboro Township, on Thursday, October 16th. Percussionist Edgardo Cintron is a second-generation Puerto Rican and a second generation musician, who began studying music (first on French horn and guitar) at the age of five. By he age of 12 he held the percussion chair in his father’s orchestra, Los Tropicales. After years on he road and a two-year stint in the Army, Cintron formed his own 12-piece band, the Tiempo Noventa Orchestra, in 1988. This group and its various configurations have performed at all the major jazz festivals and recorded extensively. Cintron is a world-class Latin percussionist with a flair for showmanship who has been a favorite in this region and beyond for decades.
