E. Clapton and W. Marsalis to Play the Blues in NYC

Two iconic artists explore shared musical ground between New Orleans, the Delta, and Chicago with an historic collaboration made in blues heaven. Join Wynton Marsalis and Eric Clapton as they work from a blueprint by the legendary New Orleans bandleader King Oliver and perform songs from some of the most important early blues and jazz figures, from Howling Wolf and Ma Rainey to Fats Waller and Louis Armstrong.

The concerts take place at the Rose Theatre in New York City on 8 and 9 April 2011 at 8PM.
