From November 27 to December 3, 2011, the world's longest running and furthest reaching jazz music website, All About Jazz, will celebrate Dutch jazz.
During Dutch Jazz Week AAJ will highlight seven Dutch jazz artists handpicked by the AAJ editors from the the Dutch Jazz & World Meeting 2010 compilation CD. Starting on November 27th, each day, one track will be presented as a Free MP3 Download of the Day, including links to the artist's profile and direct links to purchase their music. A Dutch jazz musician will also be featured as a photo of the day.
The artists showcased throughout Dutch Jazz Week are: pianist Harmen Fraanje, trumpet player Eric Vloeimans, vocalist Simin Tander, saxophonist Benjamin Herman, the group The Ploctones, saxophonist Jasper Blom and pianist Amina Figarova. During Dutch Jazz Week Amina Figarova will be performing at The Blue Note, The Jazz Gallery and The Falcon in New York.
