DIANE NALINI

Diane Nalini has been singing jazz since the age of three. Born in Montreal to Belgian and Goan parents, the singer/songwriter's multilingual repertoire draws from her lifelong passion for jazz, French Chanson, Brazilian popular song, and great literature. “She captures jazz at its most sophisticated and joyous level," writes Elle Magazine Canada. When Diane was featured on CBC Radio's Jazzbeat, host Katie Malloch said: “I just love Diane Nalini's voice. This is a sassy, 'ripe plum in the Italian sun' kind of voice... She has such sweet and effortless pitch, it's beautiful." Diane has given gala performances for President Bill Clinton and Sir Paul McCartney. She was one of two finalists for the UK's Young Jazz Vocalist of the Year in 2001, and was nominated for the Grand Prix de Jazz General Motors at the 2002 Montreal International Jazz Festival. The Montreal Gazette gave four stars to Diane's second album, “Tales... My Mama told me", stating: “Diane Nalini has the voice, the phrasing, confidence, clarity and control to make a tune her own and turn it into a nuanced thing of beauty." Her new album, “Songs of Sweet Fire" is a collection of fifteen sonnets and songs from the plays of William Shakespeare, set to her original jazz, blues, and pop music.

VINCENT WOLFE

Canadian jazz vocalist Vincent Wolfe has spent the last decade carving out a reputation as one of the most original and promising interpreters of song on the recent jazz scene. His captivating warmth and vocal expressiveness have been described by Manhattan Transfer founding member Laurel Masse as “somewhere between Chet Baker and Mel Torme: a wonderful place to be!" According to jazz legend Marlena Shaw, Vincent has been “blessed with a golden sound". With two critically acclaimed albums (Trust The Vibe & Until Tomorrow) and hundreds of club and festival dates under his belt Vincent has built a reputation as a captivating performer with a fast-growing fan base. Stateside, he's performed at prestigious jazz venues like Blues Alley, Sculler's, The Trafalmadore Cafe and Chene Park Amphitheatre as an opening act for the legendary jazz-soul diva Jean Carne. In 2007 he made his New York cabaret debut at Helen's Hideaway Room, as well as appearing at Birdland, Barnes & Noble (Lincoln Centre) and the Laurie Beechman Theatre.
