Devon Edie Selected as Artist of the Month

Local talent and long-time entertainer Devon Edie was selected by local radio station 106.1 KISS FM as the musician to be spotlighted as Artist of the Month during March. His music will be featured in the radio station's heavy rotation to engage local listeners and heighten awareness of his talent.

“I am thrilled with this acknowledgment and thank 106.1 KISS FM for their ongoing support of local musicians," said Mr Edie. “I love playing in Cayman and entertaining all our great people, and will be out there doing my thing for many years to come!"

Devon began learning piano at seven years of age; from there he moved on to the saxophone, the instrument that accompanies him on stage every night and for which he has received much acclaim locally. Though the saxophone is mostly associated with jazz, Devon's musical performances are not exclusive to the jazz genre, as he also delves into reggae, calypso and more.

Over the span of his career, Devon has graced the stage with many groups, but his current 4- piece band, Absolute Joy, is comprised of three of Cayman's music legends, Mitch “Jah Mitch" Ebanks, Bob Ebanks, and Richard Ebanks, offering a repertoire of classic reggae, swing, jazz and calypso.
