Denise King has organized a great jazz series at the Firehouse Farmers market in West Philly. Next Friday (July 5), Denise steps up to the microphone. Should be a great show.

FREE FRIDAY NIGHT JAZZ AT THE FIREHOUSE FARMERS MARKET

The 3rd Annual Jazz Concert Series at the Firehouse Farmers Market happens every Friday through August 30 and features some of the most accomplished jazz musicians in the Philadelphia region.

The free concerts are presented by West Philadelphia's own Denise King, a jazz vocalist who has performed around the world and recorded four CDs. “There is so much wonderful talent on this year's schedule, and audiences at the Firehouse really appreciate the music," says King. “I knew that if we gave great jazz back to the people without parking fees and drink minimums, we would be successful every year."

The Friday night concerts are held outdoors and begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m. Admission is free, and refreshments are available. The Firehouse Farmers Market is located at 50th Street and Baltimore Avenue in West Philadelphia. For information call 215-724-6261. This year's schedule of performers is:
