After working with the likes of Lil Wayne and T.I., MC/producer David Banner is adding Quincy Jones to his resume.
The rapper, who will release his fourth album, The Greatest Story Ever Told, tomorrow (July 15) via SRC/Universal, recently joined a hand-picked group who will remix selections from Jones' catalog.
“Quincy Jones got me, Akon, Pharrell Williams and T-Pain and allowed us to choose and remake our favorite songs," says Banner of the project, a date for which has yet to be set. “I chose 'Give Me the Night' by George Benson with Jamie Foxx singing it."
While Banner has recently crafted beats for Nelly, Chris Brown and Snoop Dogg's upcoming projects, his bigger focus was on making “The Greatest Story Ever Told" as diverse as possible.
