The great jazz guitarist Dave Stryker visits The Jazz Factory with Hammond B3 Organ giant Bobby Floyd, and drum great Jonathon Higgins, for a can't-miss" evening of jazz entertainment. Whether he's fronting his own group (with 19 CD's as a leader to date), or as a featured sideman with Stanley Turrentine, Jack McDuff, and more recently Kevin Mahogany, Gary Giddins in the Village Voice calls him one of the most distinctive guitarists to come along in recent years." He was voted one of the Top Ten Guitarists in the 2001 Downbeat Readers poll, and a Rising Star in the 2001,2004, and 2006 Downbeat Critics Poll. Dave's joined tonight by the smokin' Hammond B3 organist Bobby Floyd. Bobby has performed extensively in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Japan, including major jazz festivals, concert halls, and numerous night clubs with Ray Charles, Jeff Tyzik, Chris Howes and Sarah Morrow. Sets are at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. Pay the $5 cover charge and stay for both sets!
