Dance, a Debut, and a Free Concert at Vision Festival 16

Vision Festival begins Friday with a free concert for those who enjoy music alfresco in the public square and may not be able to afford a ticket.This is also a chance for the neighborhood children to get involved. Ras Moshe was one such child back in the 80s when an early counterpart to Vision Festival, Sound Unity, convened.

Vision Festival FREE at Campos Plaza Playground

5:00PM to 6:00PM

The final film of this years Vision Festival opens the night indoors.

6:00PM to 7:00PM in the Downstairs Theater

Documentary Rwanda 15 Documentary by Kivu Ruhorahoza 48 minutes

Screening to be followed by a solo performance and Q&A by Jeremy Danneman. This musically-driven film chronicles Jeremy Danneman's 2009 street performances in Rwanda commemorating the 15th anniversary of Rwandan genocide. Rwanda 15 is Parade of One a production .

Abrons Arts Center In the Main Stage

7:30PM to 8:00PM

The opening main stage performance is given to dance at a very high level with austere support of a single violin.

The debut of the night is courtesy of David S. Ware, another devoted long standing parent of everything Vision Festival has ever aimed to be and the evening main stage concert concludes with a simple duet of Henry Grimes and Marc Ribot. .

Action Theory brings the muse of dance to the downstairs theater where an evidently energetic Ms Bernsen traverses building floors to collaborate anew.
