New York, NY – Gearing up for the release of her next studio album, jazz vocalist Michelle Walker and her band will be performing live at The Sidedoor Jazz Club in Old Lyme, CT on Friday August 8, 2014 performing a special pre-release concert showcasing tracks from her upcoming release, “Love Misery”, to be released in Fall / Winter 2014. Joining Michelle will be Ron Affif on guitar, Toru Dodo on piano, Michael O'Brien on bass and Matt Wilson on drums.
Michelle Walker is the latest artist added to the roaster of who has performed at The Sidedoor Jazz Club concert series. She joins a distinguished list of top jazz artists including vocalists Freddy Cole, Rene Marie, Sachal Vasandini, Cyrille Aimee as well as jazz luminaries Bill Charlap, Fred Hersch, Jimmy Greene, Javon Jackson, Manuel Valera and Orrin Evans.
