Soulandjazz.com Presents:
Continuum--A Journey Through Jazz
Episode 14: “Sultry Sirens, Part 2"

Hosted and Produced by J. Scott Fugate, “The Jazz Evangelist"

As always, the show is free, absolutely legal, fun for the whole family, and available for listening right now, right here.

This week's journey continues with a summer serenade by the sultry sirens of Jazz and Blues--featuring a fine flock of divas from the 1950's to today. This show has the rare effect of being able to heat you up and cool you down simultaneously with some of the sultriest, steamy, sexy, smoky tunes ever sung in the key of blue.

We start off by simmering with some divas of the past such as Etta James, Carmen McRae, Julie London, Peggy Lee, June Christy, Rosemary Clooney and Anita O'Day . . . and continue to cook towards a boil with divas of the present such as Dianne Reeves, Jane Monheit, Karrin Allyson, Nnenna Freelon, Amanda Carr, Diana Krall, Laverne Butler . . . and then we finish off with something completely different and fairly scorching from Chaka Khan.

So, get something cool to drink and make sure a window is open so the steam can escape. Enjoy the ride!

If you have any requests for my next episode of Sultry Sirens--please let me know, and I will even give you a shout out on the show. Write to me at [email protected].
