After a long absence in the States, the European orchestra fromyou guessed it!Brussels, capital of Belgium and Europe, will unleash its virtuosity in New York in a week-long appearance at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Under the direction of Frank Vaganée, the Orchestra introduces Werner's brand new compositions and arrangements at the distinguished Dizzy's Club Coca Cola.

Founded in 1993 the Brussels Jazz Orchestra has consistently raised its profile through world-class performances, reinforcing its reputation as one of Europe's most active and forward-thinking jazz ensembles. Hailed by the press and funded by the Flemish government, the BJO has logged more than 50 international performances in 2010. Kenny Werner has been recording and performing since the age of 11. A highly influential pianist and composer, he has been touring extensively and has been awarded numerous grants and honors throughout his career. Most recently he has received a Guggenheim Fellowship Award for No Beginning, No End," an orchestral work dedicated to the memory of his daughter Katheryn. Kenny has published several books, including the celebrated Efffortless Mastery," and has been teaching workshops and masterclasses nation-wide.
