Formed in 1978 by guitarist and composer Orlando Haddad and singer/pianist/composer Patricia King, Minas now enters its forth decade as one of the most in-demand, consistently entertaining and inventive groups on the jazz scene, combining Brazilian and American roots to create a sound that is fresh and innovative, from ballads and bossa nova to sambas and straight-ahead scat singing. Individually and collectively, King and Haddad have written and recorded more than 100 impressive songs.
