On Wednesday evening, May 31, one of the most original guitarist and composers on the music scene today, Rale Micic, will present 2 shows at Blues Alley.

On his latest release titled “Serbia" Micic established himself as one of the most inventive voices on the music scene today.

He will be joined by renowned Grammy-nominated trumpet player Tom Harrell, Bob Reynolds on tenor, Sean Conly on bass and Obed Calvaire, drums.

Glenn Astarita, in reviewing Rale Micic's most recent album, Serbia, said, “...Micic surfaces as an idea man whose solid chops complement his seemingly extensive knowledge of the Jazz vernacular."

The New Yorker magazine has described Tom Harrell as, “A brilliant trumpeter, flugelhornist and composer."

There will be two performances, one at 8 o'clock and the second at 10 P.M.

Reservations are being taken and can be obtained by calling (202) 337-4141 or writing to Blues Alley at 1073 Wisconsin Ave. NW, Washington, DC.
