Billet-Deux, the northwest modern gypsy jazz quintet, is proud to announce the release of their second CD - “Deux".

The CD features the unique sound of the group which consists of acoustic solo guitarist Troy Chapman, cellist James Hinkley, bassist Michael Yocco, rhythm guitarist Josephina Hunner and drummer/percussionist Roger Bennett.

While the group found its roots in the sounds of Django Reinhardt, Stephane Grapelli and the Hot Club of France, Billet-Deux takes the genre in entirely new directions with a engaging modern sound.

Tracks on the new CD include Charles Mingus' “Goodbye Porkpie Hat", “Softly as in a Morning Sunrise", Dizzy Gillespie's “Bebop", Wes Montgomery's “Four on Six" (played in 3/4 time) and “Tu vou fa L'Americano" from Italy!

The CD will be available from Billet-Deux's website, billet-deux.com, from cdbaby.com, Seattle area CD stores or various online digital outlet's including itunes and digstation.

Billet-Deux invites you to listen to and enjoy “Deux. We are proud of this latest work and hope that the joy of the music inspires our fans.
