Boston-based songwriter and Folk/Brazilian/Jazz vocalist, and BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC faculty member, ANN DOLAN's been hard at work in the studio, adding to her extensive repertoire of innovative compositions. She will soon release a five-selection EP on CDBABY.COM.

Two of her vocal pieces, “Turn Turn to Me" and “Caterpillar," offer inspiration at a time when this gift is hard to find.

“Turn Turn to Me" is a spiritual rendering, focusing on Mother Mary as an example of strength and tenacity for women. The song also serves to encourage people; and speaks from the voice of prayer, inner reflection, and hope.

“Caterpillar" is a delightful Calypso-infused piece about self esteem and the journey to personal discovery. Listeners of all ages will relate to this story of the uncertainty of self we all experience, and to the radiant moment when we realize we are special, and accept who we are!

Ann has also recorded a tribute piece to her hometown of Boston. “Boston Shine", first released many years ago on the GEM label, received hometown accolades. A timeless salute, “Boston Shine" is a fitting piece for any program highlighting this fine historical city.
