New York, NY—Comedy and music? You bet!—and all in one great show! Andrea Mezvinsky, crowned 'America's Funniest Mom' on The Opra Winfrey Show, and popular Spanish singer/songwriter Luthea Salom join forces to bring you a compact, dynamic performance of original music and comedy at the Duplex, New York City's world famous cabaret and piano bar in Greenwich Village, on Thursday, September 15, 2011, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.

“Andrea Mezvinsky . . . was the stand-out performer . . . she cracked the house up at Caroline's on Broadway." —NY Daily News

Andrea Mezvinsky's (www.andreamezvinsky.com) first job in show business was as a magician's assistant, performing the “zigzag lady trick" (being sawed in half while standing up). Now she is a STAND-UP and a crack-up with some hilarious wisecracks on life in the 21st Century. First cousin to Marc and Chelsea Clinton-Mezvinsky, Andrea's point of view on politics and family matters are unique. In addition to The Opra Winfrey Show, she has also appeared in Open Admissions on CBS, The Perfect Woman on The Bravo Channel, and the lead in the Independent film Gratuitous Sex that won honors at the Sundance Film Festival. Theatre credits include: the Off-Broadway hit Grandma Sylvia's Funeral, and her one-woman show Sometimes Over the Summer, produced at the John Houseman Theatre and the Midtown International Theatre Festival. Most recently Andrea performed in Turning Points at The Cherry Lane Theatre and co-starred in Storm Up The Sky with Richard Mazur.

Luthea Salom (www.lutheasalom.com) is a multi-cultured, bilingual singer/songwriter originally from Spain (growing up part of the time in Canada) and now based in New York City. She's steadily emerging in the international music scene as a major talent having toured the U.K., Spain, Portugal and Germany. On Luthea's last European tour in Germany the tour was originally organized by her fans who were anxious for her to make an appearance there until, impressed by the tremendous audience response to her music, Audi Germany and Shark Power Drink decided to sponsor her tour. Luthea's first two successful CDs were produced by Grammy Award Winning producer Malcolm Burn and her highly anticipated latest CD release, Kick In The Head, is planned for release in the U.S. this fall. When she is not touring or promoting in Europe she performs in the U.S., particularly in NYC, and is a well known fixture in the downtown club scene, performing in many other hot spots around the city as well.
