It is well known in the Philadelphia jazz community that bassist Charles Fambrough has been bravely battling some life threatening health problems. Although he has insurance, the co-pays and limitations that his insurance company have placed on his treatment options has forced his family to pay outrageous sums of money to help him. Like many American families, legendary bassist Charles Fambrough is suffering from our broken health care system. He needs our help.

On Thursday March 11th, at Chris' Jazz Cafe, 1421 Sansom Street, Philadelphia, PA, there will be an All-Star Tribute to Charles Fambrough featuring the best the Philly area has to offer in talent: Sid Simmons, Orrin Evans, Mike Boone, Lee Smith, Bootsie Barnes, Julian Pressley, John Blake, and many, many others. Showtimes are at 8PM and 10PM. Cover: $15.

Jazz Bridge, a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to assisting jazz and blues musicians from the Greater Philadelphia Metro area, will be there taking tax-deductible donations.
