We document the improvements we make to both All About Jazz and Jazz Near You and when improvements come fast, we'll post an announcement to let our readers, members, a fund drive supporters know what's happening. In addition to publishing gobs of glorious content, we were heads down retooling the platform: both in appearance and functionality. The list below details the work completed since the beginning of the month:
- Press release distribution service upgrade (explained here);
- Improved searching: Search Album Reviews by musician, year released, star rating, record label, language; search news by source;
- Style adjustments across both websites improving the appearance on all devices;
- Vertical presentation of articles in the Related Article and Recent News boxes;
- Associated Management Agency with their clients (Examples: International Music Network and Mike Chadwick Management);
- Phase 1 relaunch of MY AAJ (for sustaining members only);
- More hosts and (daily) programs in our radio section including Leo Sidran's The Third Story;
- Added a second level of verification to the sign up process for improved security;
- Improved the calendar and birthday widgets;
- Improved appearance of spotlight ads;
- Improved internal communication via website private message;
- Created aspen.jazznearyou.com. and vail.jazznearyou.com.
