All About Jazz Improvements: January 2012

SOURCE: Published: | 3,018 views
We got out of the gate fast in 2012 releasing a calendar widget and making several enhancements to our website.

Calendar Widget For Website Publishers or Bloggers

With All About Jazz's calendar widget, website publishers and bloggers can place either a local calendar or a musician's calendar on their pages. Simply create the code from AAJ's calendar widget form, then copy, paste, save and voilà, instant calendar on your website! Learn more...

Content Tabs

We've added tabbed content boxes to the top right corner of every article, CD review and news page. The article and CD tabs include links to recent articles, popular articles and random articles (try random, it's fun!). The news tabs include links to All About Jazz website news, today's news and popular news.

Auto-completion Boxes

We're upgrading our auto-completion technology and we started with every photo gallery page. Example: search here.

Landing Pages

We improved the appearance of both our article landing page and our news landing page.

Recent Article Comments

You can now access the most heavily commented articles and CD reviews from a single page. Check out our most recent article comments here.

“More Photos of [Musician Name]" Box

We changed the order of the six thumbnail images that appear on an article page, a news page, an event detail page, etc.. The photos were sorted by most viewed; they're now sorted by upload date, so the latest photos appear from left to right.

Content Management

We completed the third phase of a five phase project to modernize our main article submission form.

You can help fund our ongoing development efforts to support jazz music by making a modest contribution to All About Jazz today.
