It's been a year since All About Jazz relaunched its photo gallery to showcase jazz images by professional photographers, “shooters," painters and illustrators. And since that time, we've compiled over 46,000 images and we present them in our articles, as photos of the day, as photos of the week, as searchable photos. New photos are added daily throughout the day.
We recently brought Bill King on board as the Photo Editor and we made several improvements to the gallery to raise the awareness of our professional submissions. You can find a directory of professionals by name here, you can view our featured professional photos here, and Bill designates our top images as photos of the day and photos of the week.
With Bill at the helm, we've made several improvements to the gallery to raise the awareness of professional photographers. Moving forward, Bill will select and feature one professional weekly and we'll present their work at the gallery, as photos of the day and on our photos of the week page.
Our immediate schedule features the work of Ziga Koritnit, Paul Slaughter, Jos L Knaepen, John Abbott, Goio Villanueva and Kris King.
Though we're raising the awareness of our professional images, we strongly encourage musicians to upload publicity and live photos and associate them with their musician profiles. Fans (or “shooters") are still encouraged to upload photos from concerts and festivals and share them with their fellow readers.
