Elegant Mediaworks debuts The Journey, a new adult-contemporary/jazz/soul album release by Sir Gant & The Invisible Force, now available at sirgant.com, iTunes and most popular download sites. Written and performed by acclaimed producer/composer Dean Gant (a.k.a. Sir Gant), the music on this record showcases his personal style at its best.

The record features a formidable roster of musicians including Marcus Miller, Gerald Albright, Paulinho DaCosta, Steve Ferrone, Al McKay, Omar Hakim, Nathan East, Ricky Lawson, David T. Walker, Rahmlee Michael Davis, Dr. George Shaw, Charles Owens and string arrangements by the legendary Benjamin Wright. The vocal styling of Marc Nelson (founding member of Boyz II Men) and Tim “Tio" Owens (featured singer with the Al McKay All Stars) grace three tunes on The Journey. Grammy winning engineer, Neal Harrington Pogue co-produced to ensure technical balance and musical integrity.

Gant's multi-million selling projects have made him an in-demand producer for over 40 years, working with an impressive list of high-profile performers including the Anita Baker, Madonna, Peabo Bryson, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Temptations, Bill Withers, TLC and Outkast among many others. He is gifted with the ability to traverse a variety of music idioms with unique style and fluidity.

“The Journey has been a long time in the making," explains Gant. “It represents the maturation of my emotions and my musicianship. I've drawn upon the artistic influences of my mentors like Herbie Hancock as a pianist and Quincy Jones as a producer, and incorporated all the musical foundations I've developed along the way. The common thread is quality music."

The Journey begins with his solo performance of a classical-styled piano prelude to the first single, I'm Gonna Miss You. With the brilliance of a skilled artist, he interlaces several permutations of it among the sequence of the other songs. In describing the creation of the single, Gant reflects, “I'm Gonna Miss You started out as a jazz instrumental that I was going to use for a group project with saxophonist, Chico Freeman. The project never happened so I started working on different melodic approaches which evolved into what became the single release." The ballad has soared to the #1 position on the UK Soul Chart.

The Journey features a diverse offering of high quality music that aims to appeal to a cross-section of listeners of all ages and musical tastes. Please visit sirgant.com for more information.
