23rd Annual Long Beach Bayou & Mardi Gras Festival Featuring Hubert Sumlin, Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, Jimmy Vivino, Barbara Morrison, Cafe R&B, Sweet Baby J'ai

Hear the sounds of New Orleans at the 23rd Annual Long Beach Bayou & Mardi Gras Festival, Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28th at the Rainbow Lagoon Park, 11:30 a.m. 8:00 p.m. Cajun, Zydeco and Blues music along with a daily Mardi Gras Parade led by New Orleans Traditional Jazz Band. Blues legends guitarist Hubert Sumlin (Howlin Wolf, Muddy Waters) and harmonica player/drummer Willie Big Eyes Smith (Muddy Waters) will team up with guitarist Jimmy Vivino's East West Connection (Vivino is a member of the house band on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien) to close the festival on Sunday night. The festival is presented by Comprehensive Child Development (CCD) and Rainbow Promotions, LLC, (producers of the Long Beach Jazz Festival) and is an annual fundraiser for CCD.



Bayou Stage Saturday: Theo & the Zydeco Patrol, Bayou Brothers, Acadien Cajun Band, New Orleans Traditional Jazz Band, Lil Wayne & Same Ol Two Step, Nathan & the Zydeco Cha-Chas.



Club NOrleans Blues Stage Saturday: Artwork Jamal, Charlie Jen, Sweet Baby Jai, Barbara Morrison, Seville: Tribute to The Temptations.



Bayou Stage Sunday: Corey Ledet & His Zydeco Band, Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys, New Orleans Traditional Jazz Band, Nathan & the Zydeco Cha-Chas, and closing the festival on the Bayou Stage, all star Blues band: Hubert Sumlin & Willie Big Eyes Smith with Jimmy Vivino's East West Connection.



Club NOrleans Blues Stage Sunday: Bill Magee Blues Band, Bob Malone, Cafe R&B, Leon Hughes former Coaster and his group.

General admission is $35 per day, Seniors (60+) and College Students (18+) - $25; Young Persons (13 17) - $10 and children 12 and under are FREE. Six-pack ticket deal: Buy five General Admit tickets and get the sixth one FREE. Family pack: Buy one General Admission at $35 and get one young person (13 17 years old) in for free. VIP tickets are $75 per day and include backstage access to Bayou and Blues stages, reserved seating, one meal and two alcoholic beverages. Metro riders who show their ticket will get $5.00 off at the gate.



The Long Beach Bayou Festival is an all ages event. Rainbow Lagoon Park is located on the Northside of Shoreline Drive, between Shoreline Village Drive and Linden Avenue. An all-reserved parking lot for attendees is available on the Marina Green Lot across from the Rainbow Lagoon Park. Parking is $10.
