2009 New Orleans Jazz Festival Announces Schedule & Musical Guests

The 2009 New Orleans Jazz Festival has released its schedule, as well as a list of the performers for the two weekend festival. This will be the 40th anniversary of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and will showcase some of the best names in the music business. The festival is scheduled to take place over two weekends, starting on April 24th-26 and ending on the weekend of April 30-May 3 in 2009. Ticket have gone on sale for the festival now, which can be purchased as single weekends, or for the entire festival if you are a really big fan of jazz music.

The New Orleans Jazz Festival will feature some huge names in the music business, including musical greats Wynton Marsalis, James Taylor, Earth Wind & Fire, and Aretha Franklin just to name a few. The acts will differ for each weekend, but it will be a big chance for any fan of music to really enjoy one of the best concerts of their lifetime. There are basically hundreds of artists that are scheduled to appear at the festival, in what is sure to go down as one very historic concert. It will be one of those once-in-a-lifetime concerts, and if there is a fan of jazz out there, they should be attending this festival.

As the festival begins to draw closer, they will release an exact schedule grid of who will be performing at what time, as well as what locations they will be doing their performances. Ticket prices are also very affordable, selling for only $40.00 in advance for either weekend, which makes it well worth the price to see all of these artists performing. Those prices will go up to $50.00 on the day of the events.
