2009 Cape May Jazz Festival: Line-up Annnounced

April 17-19, 2009 and November 6-8, 2009

The next Cape May Jazz Festival set for April 17-19 and entitled “Legends and More Blues" will be presented by New Jersey Department of State Division of Travel and Tourism and Bank of America.

The festival will open up in the Theatre at Lower Regional High School with a Tribute to Billy Eckstine and Sara Vaughn with “Have a Song on Me Celebrating Mr. B" and the Big Band Music of the 1940s and 50s with B Swingers Big Band directed by Robert Landham starring Steve Butler as Mr. B with special guest Sabrina Carten.

Opening up the festival Saturday night will be James Cotton Blues.

Further Legends on the lineup are Odean Pope and Barbara King paying tribute to Sara Vaughn. Completing the lineup will be Mayra Casales, Roni Ben-Hur, Sharon Clark, Sylvia Cuenca Group, Michael Thomas Quintet, and more blues with Andrew Jr. Boy Jones, Eddie Shaw and the Wolf Gang, Alan Weber and Frenz Blues Jam and Juke Joints Last Stand. Included will be the high energy jams Saturday and Sunday, workshops and CD signing party.
