Coming June 26 to July 4th, 2009 to a Hidden Jazz Haunt from the Village to Harlem



A week-long celebration will rope together for the first time the best Underground Jazz scene in NYC's hidden neighborhood spots that feature Live Jazz>; Each will put their Fest foot forward with exciting performances for 1st Annual Underground Big Apple Jazz Festival 2009 PASS holders.

Gordon Polatnick, former founder of Harlem's EZ's Woodshed, and Co-Producer Beth Zucker's New York City Jazz Meetup Group will begin the 1st Annual Underground Big Apple Jazz Festival by offering recession priced Jazz Fest PASSs online at: bigapplejazz.com or Jazz Meetup: Meetup.com/NYC-Jazz

Participating sponsors are the Concord Music Group, Jon Baltimore Woodwind & Brass Center, Big Apple Tours, NYC Jazz Meetup Group and each club or event.

The $30.00 Festival Pass is good for hundreds of dollars worth of discounts throughout the week-long festival; 125 Performances by 400 Musicians at more than 25 Uptown and Downtown Clubs and events plus 5 Special Harlem Jazz Tours.

Clarke, Harry Whitaker, Boncella Lewis, Carla Cook, Spike Wilner, Beareather Reddy, Matt Wilson, Mark Sherman and on and on.

Gordon Polatnick's Big Apple Jazz and EZ's Woodshed was located in the historic jazz district of Harlem near the legendary Tree of Hope. From 2006 till July 2008, the back room was home to free concerts and the storefront contained the largest indie jazz selection hard to find recordings of local legends and great up and comers; gift items, jazz posters, T-shirts, DVD's and books.
