JAMGASM 2 - Super Session, breaking the music marathon improvisation record for Austin and Texas! An event to raise needed funds for the non-profit Diverse Arts Culture Works.

Carousel Lounge 1110 East 52nd Street, Austin, Texas March 1st – noon to midnight.

Featruing: Willie Oteri, Chris Maresh, Brannen Temple, Ephraim Owens, Joshua Thomson, Bruce Saunders, Dave Laczko, James Fenner, members of Brazilian Space Program, WD-41, Lost Cat, word/jazz lowstars and many more.

Get ready for a music experience like none other in Austin or Texas! Following the success of the Jazz OUTside series started in 2012 at Kenny Dorham's Backyard which closed the 2013 dates with a Super Session/Jamgasm of nearly 8 hours of non-stop improvised music now comes a reach for the new record of 12 hours! That's right, 12 hours non-stop with a plethora of artists and musicians, including some of the best around, rotating to keep it going!

Hosted by WD-41 (Willie Oteri and Dave Lasko) in conjunction with Ricardo Acevedo and Lost Cat Magnet, with members of word/jazz lowstars, Brazilian Space Program and many more including very special guests to be announced soon. One never knows who might show up at a Super Session. Past events have featured names like Stu Hamm, Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto to name just a few.

Though firmly anchored in the notion of making history with a musical jam session that crosses and bends genre lines, the day will be a multi-arts freedom fest featuring free-improvised spoken word, dance, live painting, and other spontaneous art-making activities. The idea is to celebrate with a day of arts collaboration, and by doing so, bring together segments of the community who are dedicated to making sure that Diverse Arts remains a viable alternative for art and music promotion: One that is truly unique as an asset to the Central East Austin Community.

Join us for an event you won't get anywhere else.

If you would like to be part of this event as a musician or artist please contact Willie Oteri for more information.
